David L. Albright, Hill Crest Foundation Endowed Chair in Mental Health and associate professor of social work, has been appointed to the Alabama Council on Opioid Misuse and Addiction. The council reports to the governor. See Dr. Albright’s appointment letter.

“Appointing you to this position comes with great responsibility because you will be making important decisions that affect the citizens of Alabama,” Gov. Robert Bentley said in his appointment letter to Dr. Albright. “Honesty and integrity are two virtues that I prioritize for my Administration to exemplify, and I know that you will do the same while in service to our great State.”
