SSW’s PR student assistant Alyssa Comins was recognized as a 2017 UA Student Employee of the Year Nominee. Nominees were honored April 12, 2017, during an awards luncheon held at Bryant Denny Stadium.
The UA Student Employee of the Year honor recognizes individuals who best represent the contributions and achievements of students who work while attending UA. They perform invaluable services with enthusiasm and dedication, all while balancing their individual academic commitments.
UA employs more than 4,000 students each year. This year, 51 student employees were nominated, including Alyssa, by their supervisors for demonstrating exceptional reliability, quality, work, initiative, professionalism in the workplace.
“The University would cease to function without student workers,” said Dr. Kevin Whitaker, executive vice president and provost. “This is a great day to recognize and celebrate those who go above and beyond in their call of duty.”
