Join us in celebrating the remarkable career and retirement of Dr. Debra Nelson-Gardell, a dedicated member of the School of Social Work faculty at The University of Alabama. Over the past 30 years, Dr. Nelson-Gardell has significantly contributed to our community through her various roles, leaving a lasting impact on both colleagues and students.
In recognition of her legacy and in place of a traditional retirement party, we invite you to participate in an asynchronous celebration aimed at making a lasting impact.

About Dr. Debra Nelson Gardell: Dr. Nelson-Gardell has been a pillar at the School of Social Work, serving in various roles throughout her illustrious career. Her commitment to education, mentorship, and advocacy has left an indelible mark on both colleagues and students. Most recently, Dr. Nelson-Gardell was awarded the 2024 Howard B. Gundy Award. This recognition joins many others.
