Background and Professional Experience
Jessica M. Bertram came to the University of Alabama from Bowling Green, Kentucky in 2015.
Her background work has been with therapeutically leveled foster children, children with disabilities, and community development organizations. Prior to arriving in Alabama, Jessica worked at a therapeutic foster care agency working with the recruitment and retention of foster children.
Bertram has volunteered at a homeless resource center and therapeutic children’s camp for children with physical/mental disabilities or diseases.
Bertram hopes to explore the connections between alternative theories — specifically animal assisted therapy — and militaries across the world while at the University of Alabama.
