Background and Professional Experience
Carin has taught honors social work classes and served as a guest lecture for the School of Social Work. Her career experience includes serving as the assistant to director of the Division of Family of Family and Children Services and as a advocate for children and families at the Georgia Center for Child Advocacy. She also has been a research assistant for social work faculty studying violence against children and women in Uganda and aging in African American older adults. She is the of numerous SSW scholarships, including the Washington, D.C. Policy and Advocacy Fly-In scholarship to attend the school’s inaugural Fly-In in March 2017.
