Background and Professional Experience
In 2010, she earned her undergraduate degree in Social Work from Adnan Menderes University, Turkey. In 2015, she completed her master’s degree in Social Work from Temple University. As part of her studies, Burcu has worked with different populations. During her undergraduate studies, she worked with teenagers who were involved in crime, battered women, children and the elderly. Following her passion for helping others, Burcu taught kindergarten at a Turkish school, her first fulltime work experience. For her master’s internship, she worked as a high school therapist for adolescents.
Ozturk research interests include families, children and violence against women.
