Current students are welcome to contact us with general questions related to advising, registration, and commencement. We look forward to assisting you and wish you the best in your academic pursuits!
Scholarships and Financial Aid
New and continuing students can apply for three different types of financial aid. The School of Social Work awards a limited amount of scholarships, stipends and loans. The University of Alabama’s Office of Financial Aid offers comprehensive information and services for federal financial aid, student loans and work-study options to new and continuing UA students. There also are many scholarship opportunities that are available externally to The University.
Procedures and timelines regarding applications for specific scholarships are provided in the Student Handbooks for our respective academic programs and announced in the School’s weekly student newsletter.
IMPACT LIVES. BE A CHANGE AGENT.
Social workers live by a set of values and a code of ethics in their professional life. Get involved in one of the UA School of Social Work’s undergraduate or graduate student organizations to use these values to make a difference.
Our student organizations bring together our peers, our professors, and individuals through service, campus events and volunteer work to positively impact our communities and promote social justice causes, diversity, and other values of the social work profession.
Your student experience in the UA School of Social Work is supplemented with a variety of campus resources and services. From major resources like financial aid, registration and housing to everyday needs such as dinning services and parking and transportation, we’ve provided you with an invaluable list of resources to enhance your academic stay with us.
