We’re excited to welcome Dr. Devin Williams, Clinical Assistant Professor, and Dr. Sheila McMahon, Associate Professor and Director of the Doctor of Social Work (DSW) Program, to the Bama Social Work family!
Dr. Williams is a social work educator and clinical social worker whose work centers on advancing mental health equity and improving the well-being of Black women. Passionate about preparing future social workers, Dr. Williams is committed to inspiring innovative thinking and expanding access to quality care.
Dr. McMahon is an interdisciplinary scholar, clinician, and educator whose expertise spans trauma-responsive practice, restorative justice, organizational change, leadership development, and community-centered research. As Director of the DSW Program, she brings extensive experience in teaching, clinical practice, and research that will help shape the next generation of advanced social work leaders.
We’re thrilled to have Dr. Williams and Dr. McMahon join our faculty and look forward to the impact they will make through teaching, scholarship, and service.
