What is SIR CAT?
The Students in Research Collaborative Action Training (SIR CAT) program is an online, self-paced research education course designed to help students develop the knowledge and skills needed to participate in research activities. Through interactive learning modules, students gain an understanding of the research process, research ethics, collaboration strategies, and best practices for working with faculty mentors and research teams. The program is intended for students who are interested in expanding their academic experience, exploring research opportunities, and building skills that can support future educational and career goals.
How to Register
Students interested in participating in the SIR CAT program can register online and complete the course at their own pace. Upon enrollment, participants will gain access to the program’s learning materials and resources designed to prepare them for meaningful engagement in research opportunities. Navigating the SIR CAT Program
Registration
Click the link above to register. Once completed, you will receive a email, confirming the OSWR has received your registration.
Enrollment
After your registration has been received, your enrollment will be processed and you will receive and enrollment confirmation email from the OSWR. Once you have received the email, you may begin the course.
Course Completion
After you have completed the SIR CAT course, you will be asked to complete course survey. Completing this, you will receive a Course Competition Certificate.
