Bio
Dr. Derrick Gervin served as a supervisory health scientist at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), National Center for Injury Prevention and Control (NCIPC) where he managed a diverse portfolio of adverse childhood experiences (ACEs), intimate partner violence, youth violence, teen dating violence prevention, and rape prevention education projects. Prior to joining NCIPC, Dr. Gervin worked in the National Center for Chronic Disease Prevention and Health Promotion (NCCDPHP), Division for Heart Disease and Stroke Prevention (DHDSP) as a team lead for the Advancing Health Equity Team and WISEWOMAN Program, a program designed to engage low-income, uninsured, and underinsured women to reduce their risk for heart disease and stroke and promote healthy lifestyles.
