Biography
Megan Davenport is joining the University of Alabama School of Social Work as a MSW Practicum Coordinator/ Instructor.
Ms. Davenport obtained her BSW and MSW degrees from Middle Tennessee State University and a
Graduate Certificate in Grant Writing from Austin Peay State University. She is a Licensed Clinical
Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Tennessee and a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) in the state of Alabama. Her professional experience entails forensic social work, substance use disorder treatment, clinical leadership, higher education instruction, and private practice psychotherapy. Her practice and research interests include neurodivergence, carceral trauma, and developments in social work education.
