Dr. Patrice J. Reese, DSW, LMSW

Dr. Patrice J. Reese, DSW, LMSW is a dedicated social work practitioner, educator, and researcher committed to advancing education amongst vulnerable communities with a focus on hypertension health. Patrice earned her Doctor of Social Work and Master of Social Work degrees from the University of Alabama and her Bachelor of Social Work from the University of Montevallo. She currently works as a Dialysis Social Worker and Adjunct Instructor at the University with the goal to promote culturally responsive practice. With over 16 years of clinical and community-based experience, she has provided case management, education, and advocacy for diverse populations across healthcare and nonprofit settings. Her research centers on health disparities, particularly the impact of access to care. A two-time “DaVita Village Social Work Team Award” recipient. 

Yolanda Hall, LMSW

My name is Yolanda Hall , I am a proud wife, and mom of 6. I enjoy traveling and being a serial entrepreneur. I am a Licensed Master Social Worker. I graduated from the University of Alabama at Birmingham with a Bachelor’s in Social Work and earned a Master’s in Social Work from University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa. I have served in the field of Social Work for almost 20 years working with: The Department of Human Resources (Foster Care and SNAP), Head Start, the Medicaid Waiver with Intellectual & Developmental Disabilities. I currently serve as the heart Lung transplant/VAD Social Worker at UAB Hospital in Birmingham. Serving others is my passions and I am honored to help others during some of their most difficult moments.
