Avani Shah, MSW, Ph.D.
Dr. Shah has been a Professor in the School of Social Work since 2011. Her research interests are addressing the intersection of mental health and health issues as well as access to care in older adults. Dr. Shah is a Hartford Faculty Scholar, Alabama Research Institute on Aging Affiliate, Gerontological Society of America Health Behavior Change Interest Group Member. She has received funding to address mental health concerns with cardiac rehabilitation patients.
