Howard B. Gundy Award

Established by the School of Social Work, the Howard B. Gundy Award is given to a faculty member, staff member, student or alum in recognition and appreciation of their distinguished service to the School of Social Work and to the profession of social work. This award is given at the discretion of the School.

The award is named for Dr. Howard B. Gundy, the first dean of The University of Alabama School of Social Work. Dr. Gundy also served The University of Alabama as Vice President for Academic Affairs and Acting President.
