Online Continuing Education Units (CEU)

Social workers are required to seek continuing education as part of their lifelong professional development and to stay relevant in the field of social work. The National Association of Social Workers (NASW) and the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE) — the accrediting body of the School of Social Work — both prioritize continuing education.

Licensed social workers in Alabama are required to enroll in continuing education courses for license renewal. The UA School of Social Work online CEU courses are designed to help state social work professionals meet licensing requirements and reach their educational and professional goals. If you are licensed for other professions or other states, check with your state licensing agency for reciprocity and/or credit approval.
