Workshops

Our in-person workshops provide participants with a rigorous array of timely and relevant interdisciplinary courses in social work that bear the UA stamp of excellence. All courses are taught by social work faculty and workshop presenters who are national experts in their fields. CE course topics include:

  • Trauma informed practice
  • Psychopharmacology for social workers
  • Military families

Workshops are held at the Bryant Conference Center on The University of Alabama campus in Tuscaloosa. All workshop participants receive a certificate indicating the number of Continuing Education Units (CEUs) offered for attending a workshop. Certificates will usually be available on-site at the completion of the program.

Noontime Knowledge is a monthly event that addresses topics relevant to the social work profession. Its virtual format allows anyone with an internet connection to register and attend these sessions for continuing education credits at no cost.
