Bio
Before attending the University of Alabama for her PhD in Social Work, Alauna worked as a case manager for a Juvenile Diversion program in Tallahassee, Florida. After this, she transitioned to central Florida for her masters and worked as a Case Manager for a housing program helping adults with substance abuse addictions. She also interned as a substance abuse counselor. After graduating with her master’s degree in Social Work, she became a full-time mental health and substance abuse counselor for clients ranging from 5 years old and up. Alauna also has volunteering experience in the community with youth programs and sports activities.
