Maureen Schuster, LICSW, is a purpose-driven healthcare professional, clinical social worker, and dynamic speaker with deep expertise in aging, mental health, and healthcare strategy. Drawing on years of clinical practice, private therapy work, and leadership experience in healthcare and housing settings, Maureen brings a unique blend of professional insight and practical guidance to every audience she engages. She is frequently invited to speak at universities, conferences, and community organizations, where she translates complex issues into actionable strategies that inspire and empower others. Her presentations help professionals, students, and organizations better understand the evolving landscape of aging and healthcare — and how to navigate it with skill, compassion, and strategy. In addition to her work in aging and mental health, Maureen is passionate about career development for emerging professionals. She equips the next generation of social workers, healthcare providers, and service coordinators with practical tools to build confidence, clarify their purpose, and create meaningful career paths.
LaShaunda Lark-Darien
LaShaunda Lark-Darien, is the founder and CEO of Lock & Key Wellness and Counseling Services LLC where she provides virtual psychotherapy services to clients in need of outpatient mental health treatment. She is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker with a Private Independent Practice Specialization in Case Management and is a Certified Advanced Grief Counseling Specialist. Lashaunda has over 19 years of combined experience in higher education, mental health, substance abuse, grief counseling, child welfare, case management, gerontology, administration, crisis intervention, suicide prevention, sports performance therapy, and clinical supervision. In her spare time, LaShaunda enjoys cruising with her husband Wayne of 25 years, spending time with their four children, their newborn grandson and watching their youngest daughter play sports. LaShaunda’s Motto is: “When Life Hands you Lemons, Make Orange Juice and Let People Wonder How You Did It!” We are proud to say Ms. Lark-Darien is pursuing her Doctorate of Social Work with our University of Alabama DSW Program.
