Community College Students –
Pathways is designed for you!
The School of Social Work has developed its new Pathways program, specifically designed for community college students in Alabama who wish to earn a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work.

Why Join Our Pathways Program?
Our Pathways programs are tailored to help you complete your Bachelor’s degree in Social Work in four years by helping you select classes that will streamline the courses you need to graduate. Instead of taking random general education courses, our advisors will help you select community college courses that are relevant to a degree in social work. They will also set up a schedule for you so that with a few summer transition courses, you can enter the Social Work professional degree program in your first semester at UA.
How it Works
You can schedule an appointment (virtually or in person) with one of our SSW advisors to ask about our Pathways program. Our advisor will review your current and completed courses and help design a schedule to determine what you need to take to graduate within a four-year window. Feel free to click on the links below to view samples of some of the course schedules we have designed for our existing students.
