How to Apply for Field
Our Field Office continually strives to enhance the quality of service that we provide to you. The Social Work Information System (SWIS) is designed to provide you with a user-friendly mechanism to apply for field education. Please review the field application instructions or watch our Applying for Field Education video carefully before logging into SWIS.

Background Check
All students are required to complete a criminal background check before entering their field placement. If you will complete your field placement outside of Alabama, please contact the Field Office for instructions. If your field placement will be in Alabama, please follow the instructions provided in field’s Background Checklist.
