Bio

Natasha is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker in Alabama. She received her undergraduate dual degree in Social Work and Psychology in 2014 from University of Montevallo, and her MSW in 2015 from The University of Alabama, with a concentration in children, adolescents and their families. Natasha worked as a child and family specialist for Therapeutic Foster Care, a substance abuse counselor for methadone maintenance program, and as a therapist for a residential group home for boys. She has also served as a field instructor for The University of Alabama’s MSW program, and supervised a licensed bachelor social worker for two years. Natasha has experience conducting individual and group counseling, addressing various mental health and behavioral health needs in children of various ages. Natasha was adopted from Ukraine in 2005, which fostered her interest in social work and international social work, specifically issues relating to improving child welfare. She spent the summer 2010 and summer 2011 in Ukraine working as a volunteer and translator in summer camps for orphans as well as volunteering with several faith-based organizations in Alabama that serve Ukrainian orphans. Natasha’s other interests include improving education for foster children, mental health, social work education, and human rights.
