Background and Professional experience
Angela began conducting research as an undergraduate McNair Scholar at the University of Montevallo. This opportunity enabled her to become a co-author of a publication focusing on public speaking anxiety. While interning at a local hospital in the MSW program at the University of Alabama, she became passionate about inequalities, social justice, and the needs of vulnerable populations. During her first year in the UA Ph.D. program, she had the opportunity to work as a medical social worker at the same local hospital where she had interned. Currently, she is using her knowledge and expertise to advance knowledge through research focusing on vulnerable populations.
