Background and Professional Experience:
Melissa is currently enrolled in the concurrent MSW/PhD program. She obtained her bachelor’s degree in Social Work from the University of Parma, in Italy. During her senior year she was selected as one of the 3 individuals to be part of an exchange program called Erasmus, through which she was able to study, in her last semester, in Spain at the University of Málaga.
Melissa shows a profound interest in helping children, adolescents, and their families, and she would like to have the opportunity to work and help people who suffered adverse childhood experiences, through the application of a relatively new theory: Schema Therapy.
