Bio

Carrie Turner, LICSW, currently serves as a MSW Practicum Education Coordinator for the School of Social Work at The University of Alabama. In this role, Ms. Turner has worked closely with the members of the Practicum Education Program to address changing curricula and student needs. She is responsible for providing communication to each MSW cohort regarding the practicum education process to ensure timely applications, developing new agencies while also maintaining relationships with current agencies, and serving as a faculty liaison and practicum instructor. Ms. Turner also teaches the Integrative Practicum Seminar course.
   
Ms. Turner received both her BS in Commerce and Business Administration and her MSW from The University of Alabama. Ms. Turner is a licensed independent clinical social worker in the state of Alabama. Her practice experience is primarily in child welfare where she worked in foster care, adoption, protective service, resource development, family daycare homes, and quality assurance.
