Meet the Team
Brian E. Bride, Ph.D., M.P.H., M.S.W.
Dr. Bride is the Hill Crest Foundation Endowed Chair in Mental Health in the School of Social Work and the Project Director for the BHWET grant. His research has focused on the development, implementation, and evaluation of innovative programs and practices in the areas of mental health, substance misuse, and HIV prevention and intervention. Dr. Bride is particularly passionate about his research related to the mental health and well-being of the behavioral health and social services workforces.
Dione Moultrie King, Ph.D, M.S.W.
Dr. King, the Project Evaluator, has over fifteen years of experience as a community-based social worker, educator, researcher, and evaluator. Dr. King is an Associate Dean for Professional Advancement and Assessment and Associate Professor in the School of Social Work at The University of Alabama. As Associate Dean, Dr. King manages the overall assessment of curriculum and student success outcomes; and ensures program compliance with ongoing accreditation outcomes across four academic programs.
Tori Cranford, M.S.W, LICSW
Tori is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker and is the Program Manager for the BHWET Program. She obtained her bachelor’s degree from the University of Montevallo and her MSW from the University of Alabama. She has a variety of clinical experience serving children, adolescents, and young adults across the hospital, school, and private practice settings. As Program Manager, Tori facilitates community partnerships and supervises the BHWET Trainees.
Megan Davenport, M.S.W, LCSW, LICSW
Megan Davenport is an Instructor and MSW Practicum Education Coordinator in the School of Social Work. She is dually licensed in Alabama and Tennessee and provides clinical services to adolescents and adults presenting with trauma-related disorders and neurodiversity. Megan’s other areas of social work practice include grant writing, forensic social work, and substance use disorder treatment. As the Practicum Education Coordinator for the BHWET Program, Megan oversees the development of community partnerships, the practicum placement process, and supports the faculty liaisons and practicum instructors working with BHWET Trainees.
Gabby Allen, B.S.
Gabby is the Administrative Assistant for Dr. Bride and the BHWET Program, and she assists in day-to-day operations. She obtained her bachelor’s degree in psychology from Troy University and is currently working on her master’s in biblical counseling, as she is passionate about helping others through supporting mental health programs.
